Muringsung Muay Thai Camp was first brought into existence 15 years ago. The organization was an initiative propogated on the premise of traditions and values adhered to over many centuries by ancient warriors practicing the art of eight limbs. Muringsung Camp is a small group of martial artists that have gathered to practice Muay Thai in its most traditional and pure form. The ancient rules and traditions that govern Muay Thai are valued above all else and without compromise remain paramount in the lives of the Muringsung family.

Muringsung Camp was formed in honour of Weera Muringsung who came to Canada from Northern Thailand to fulfill his aspirations of attaining a university education in hopes of providing a better life for himself and his family. As a result of his success in Muay Thai competition in his native country and with the assistance from his Ajarn Sithong he was able to achieve his goals. As an imminent martial artist, Weera was taught and firmly believed in the arts as a way of life that provided an opportunity for each individual who remains commited to develop, not only an extraordinary degree of physical fitness, but a very deep sense of spirituality. This spirituality is derived through two main proponents: respect and humility.

The physical training within the Muringsung Muay Thai Camp is rigorous and requires unwaivering dedication and discipline. Wai Kru and Ram Muay as well as many other specific rituals are practiced in accordance to centuries of Muay Thai tradition.

Muringsung Muay Thai Camp is not a business, but simply a way of life that was formed to honour and sustain the lineage of Sithong Muringsung in Canada. We bow before all others with respect and humility.
